On November 20, 2006, Janet Milkman and Todd Vonderheid of RenewPA met with local government and economic development officials in Johnstown to discuss several initiatives proposed for the region. Some of these initiatives included a broadband wireless technology project for Cambria County that had regional implications for economic development, a community revitalization project in the City of Johnstown, a "Buy Local Campaign" spearheaded by the region's chambers of commerce, a new regional tourism and recreation project, and the creation of regional intergovernmental partnerships. 

 

During the day-long summit, Milkman and Vonderheid presented the latest accomplishments of RenewPA and worked with local officials on how their organizations could work together to create a more competitive region and state.
